The physical therapist salary, across the country, is being hurt by decreasing insurance reimbursements. Medicare is initiating measures to curb healthcare costs so it can continue to provide coverage for the millions of baby-boomers entering retirement age. Even though the demand for physical therapists and assistants is increasing, the physical therapy pay is not going up proportionally.
